Dear Secretary General Millions of people living with HIV are being denied access to potentially life-saving anti-retroviral medicines because they are unable to access quality health services. Lack of access to health services in the developing world means that millions of people are missing out on comprehensive health services & life transforming drugs. This is simply because they aren’t able to get to a clinic or there isn’t one nearby. These people often include some of the most neglected groups, such as children & older people. I am joining with other Christians around the world, & asking you to use your influence at the highest level to ensure that the international community delivers the resources required to ensure a comprehensive approach to quality health services. This could result in universal access for treatment, care & support for all by 2010, & change to the lives of millions of those living with HIV who lack hope for the future. Thank you for listening to our voice. |
